We're delighted by the response to last week's launch of this series. It aims to offer plenty of easy tips for stress-free cooking and entertaining, recipes from our members and new recipes from Delia. This week we're also revealing my favourite food products of 2008, some of them with a cheat element... By Delia Online editor Jo Hill.
Delia's really opened our eyes to how cheaply you can cook at Christmas...here are her frugal menus, including a wonderful pot-roasted turkey that will go down a treat with everyone!
This week, our toothsome twosome is Ham Croquettes (a great way to use up leftovers!) and Chocolate Crunch Torte with Stem Ginger and Figs. Feast your eyes...
A good one for now is this tip from Michele. "I always buy my Christmas cards in the previous Christmas's sales, thus hopefully saving quite a bit of money which usually helps to cover the cost of postage (which would invariably have risen considerably from last year!). I always get my cards out at the beginning of November, with last year's card-list. I start writing a few cards every night until they are all done, hopefully in good time for the recommended posting dates."
