We are off to scotlands capital for Christmas. Can anyone help suggest a great place to eat on christmas day? Have tried the reviews on line but conflicting info so thought that the delia members would be a much better bet !! Probably prefer something not too ethnic...Thanks

Hi Jenny,
It seems nobody knows that country's restaurants.
Won't be there a kitchen where you go to?

If you go to www.olivemagazine.co.uk and click on foodie traveller they have an article all about eating out in Edinburgh.

Hi Jenny,
Just came across your post and am saddened and dismayed with the negativity regarding Edinburghs dining experiences.
It depends what type of experience you want.
We have Michelin starred (The Kitchin) Tom Kitchin right through to comfy Bistro.
It's said you can eat in a different restaurant for every meal , every day for over a year.
Your problem will be, with who will be open?
Kitchenfairy: Stick to Goulash.
Jamseybaby:Get out more. There is plenty north of the Watford Gap.
Check out this site, http://www.list.co.uk/places/restaurants/where:Edinburgh/
Hope you have a Merry Christmas.
,
Oinker
