despite doing two searches. A question was asked when talking about the success of making them in silicon muffin trays. Someone asked if you still put really hot fat in them as you would a normal tin. I never looked at the answer.
Not making them today but I just know next time I'm making them, I'll think about it at the last minute and not have time to run up and find out.

There's no reason why you shouldn't put really hot fat in the silicon TDS - as long as they are well supported and will not fall about and splash fat about when you move them. I don't make yorkshire puds myself but we use silicon moulds for casting pewter so hot oil should be a doddle - Over to you James!
Tee hee Jeni.
James, what are your thoughts on this? (just kidding - don't even go there!)

I use silicone mini muffin trays for my yorkshire puddings. I use delia smiths recipe for mini yorkshire pudding and cut the recipe in half and I don't put in hot fat in the silicone moulds in fact I do not add any extra fat at all they come out perfect and are as easy to get out of the moulds as you would expect.
