Well, if you sign up - it's quick and easy to do - you'll be able to use a whole raft of features on the site that are out of bounds to non-members... So what are you waiting for?

COMPETITIONS
If you're a member, you can also enter our competitions. Prizes have included cookery courses, spa breaks, cookware, kitchen applicances, holidays and a day on the Orient Express, right.

MESSAGEBOARD
Our messageboard is quite addictive! Once you're a member you can go on there to share anecdotes with others, ask for advice (not just on cookery!), share recipes and solve problems. Food is to the fore, but popular subject for discussion include news events, sport, music, gardening and travel.

RECIPE BOOK
Store your favourite recipes from the site in your personalised online cookbook, and add comments of your own.

SHOPPING LIST
This is so clever! It lists all the ingredients for a recipe, allowing you to deselect things you have already; if you choose more than one recipe, it amalgamates all the ingredients, so all you need to do is print it off ready for the trip to the shops.

PREMIUM CONTENT RECIPES & MENUS
Whether you're a member or not, you have free access to over 1000 recipes on the site; however, members also have the option to subscribe to our premium content (paid-for) packages, including Cooking for One, seasonal menus, Christmas recipes, special diets and A Year in my Kitchen.

PROFILE
Members can also create their own profile on the site, with their personal recipe book and recipes, plus personal info to share with others...
