Does anyone have a recipe for flapjack which is chewy and does not fall apart easily? If I use honey instead of golden syrup, does it make a big difference?

There's a Delia recipe on this site which I've been using for years and makes very nice chewy flapjacks.

As for honey, I've not tried it but I think it's too runny at room temperature, they'd just fall to bits.

I have always added more golden syrup than the receipe asks for. Not good for your teeth I am sure but my family has always loved really chewy flapjacks and that has always been the best way. I alway use golden syrup, I don't think honey would give you the right flavour or the texture you are after.

I use honey all the time, and it works fine (both the set and the runny versions).
