Tomorrow, we are taking a picnic to have by the Thames, not quite sure where, possibly Walton, Runnymeade, Richmond or Hampton Court.

We would like to hire a rowing boat, which we think will be fun. Does anyone know of anywhere that we can do this?

Hope to hear from you soon :O)

You can hire a rowing boat in Richmond just beside Richmond Bridge. You could picnic on the Green or in the park or by the river or take a walk over the bridge to Marble Hill Park on the river - but have you seen the weather forecast for tomorrow?

Think Richmond's a good idea. Keep away from Hampton Court as there's a lot of activity there today preparing for the flower show (I live just up the road in Thames Ditton). Forecast isn't great - sadly, for Wimbledon, but it's fine here at the moment and I think due to clear early afternoon. Hope so, for all of us who are barbecuing or picnicing and importantly, for the tennis. Have fun! xx

Just stopped raining in Richmond but it looks very dull.

Thanks for the advice and the weather updates :o)

We had every intention of going and thinking "stuff the weather, we'll just go and have a good time". However, the girls decided to niggle the hell out of each other. OH got wound up, I got shouted at, I shouted back....... NO picnic.

On the plus side, OH stipped a bit more wallpaper and took the radiator off in the dining room so I can finish the stripping on Tuesday and paint the ceiling on Wednesday. British Heart Foundation will be along to collect the sofabed and an old chest of drawers. Not hurrying to decorate, we need it done by Christmas ;o)

Not really sure what we want to do in this room, but as long as we've made a start, I'm sure inspiration will come along.
