Sorry abut my inane ramblings. Most days this is the nearest thing I get to a conversation with the outside world. Bit choked up about your comment. Sorry to everyone else too. Didn't realise I was quite that boring. Feel great now. :-(

You're not boring at all: your posts are always interesting or amusing.

Don't know what you mean TDS as haven't seen any negative comments directed at you. Please don't feel down about it...

Jo, the negative comment is in DS's thread about her cookery bible.
DS, I agree with James, ignore it, I am an infrequent visitor but I also enjoy reading your messages.

Ignore it TDS.
I had someone on here - a while ago now - say something really horrid to me. I was in a hotel room when I saw it and it made me cry and cry. Luckily I was meeting up with SusanM later - and she was really sweet and cheered me up - she came bringing a virtual glass of wine from James too (though a real one would have helped more!)
Don't let it worry you x

i have only just started to get to know you TDS following a couple of posts we've discussed but I enjoy talking with you.

i think the best advice on here is to ignore any negative comments...one of the problems about the digital age is that even though we can now communicate in many different ways its ineffective and meanings can be conveyed or read in the wrong way. not that i'm saying this is what happened, i haven't read any of the old posts - it's just a point!

Certainly no apologies to me needed. I felt I didnt know how to answer some threads, and believe me, at times I tried. I did in fact say on that thread that I had enjoyed other threads of yours so maybe focus on the positive part instead?

I saw the comment and hadn't viewed it as anything but an attempt to offer very sound and helpful advice.

You only have to look at your thread about Dinners and Lunches, TDS, to see that people - including GQ - love to respond to some of your posts. Others, not so much. GQ helped point out the difference.

I should have added that many/most of us on here have at times been guilty of posting threads that clearly don't have much interest to others, given minimal response. Don't waste time getting upset about it!

we all see something different when we read posts.

I know GQ from years back and she shoots from the hip it is true, but she is a lovely person.

we must all try to take it with a shrug.Harder for some than others.I know. Some fold are more senstivie than others. That's life.... I really enjoy your posts Dinner Service, keep 'em coming.

don't understand the last post at all?........
TDS people ought to realize they don't have to reply to posts at all..
if you cannot say anything nice don't say it all I say
your posts are great and your dusting off the recipes is what I've just done and proud of it!!
