Re: Is anyone else suffering February "blahs" in September?

I'm sick to death of rain, rain and more rain. I've cooked up a storm (including baking) but I'm fed up of thinking what can I do for a change. OH is getting on my wick (not his fault really - I know it's me being irritable).
If it's still raining tomorrow, I think I'm going to go and jump in the biggest puddle I can find (and I don't have any wellies) and splash the whole world!
Tell me I'm not alone!

I know what you mean, Liz, but I try to catch up on all the indoor things that I neglect when I'm gardening. So I've been updating the family tree, filing a load of paper work, and best of all, reading my latest book - The Point of Rescue by Sophie Hannah - and I can't wait to get to the end! x x

I'm not 'suffering' but this September is so very different to last year. Blue skies and sunshine. I'm like Elpe, so I'm doing the indoor things now instead of the outdoor things (which I would rather be doing).

Paint those wellies pink or lilac or something and enjoy jumping in the puddles :0) Biggs

Liz, I am fed up to the back teeth with all this rain!! I'm also very frustrated. We have had so much bad weather recently that I am going stir crazy. My filing is already done!! I bought another book for my holidays this morning and I think I might be reading it before we go at this rate. (Going to Cornwall on Tuesday to help some friends put up a greenhouse!).

Angel will be pleased, she bought some snazzy wellies to take on her holidays (went yesterday) and so she will certainly be jumping in all the puddles.

Because of the weather I've been doing more jobs indoors that I have neglected for far too long. Must admit, I hardly ever feel fed up.......even though all the slates are off our house waiting for a refit. A waterproof membrane has been fitted Luckily we've only had one small leak and 3 men were able to fix it so no real damage done. I just appreciate that I am alive and can enjoy today, no matter what the weather is like. Dottie Mayx

Liz
I am so cross even cleared out the attic - last time that was done I cannot recall. At least it's warm up there! Think we are all feeling rather down in the UK, awful weather, economy in the pits and general feeling of angst . All my friends feel the same - but we do also feel been here before - the pendulum always swings, so, chin up !

Thank you ladies, as usual, I've been cheered by the people of this site. There's more rain forecast for today but at least we've had blue skies this morning and it's been dry. Slow-simmered lamb shanks in red wine for dinner tonight - it's cool enough to make the thought of it even more welcome.

I know what you mean Liz - winter comfort food rather than the salads we should still be eating.

Looks like the monsoon came early this year - it has been pouring every day for the last two weeks... how's a girl going to work on her tan at all?? Mutter...

Then again, my thoughts are indeed turning to stews etc... and I've got me a hankering for some apple pie - which I rarely get back here in the tropics!

No just enjoying feeling a normal temperature at long, long, long last, only just stopped wearing shorts.
