Well the mullet stayed in the freezer - I just didn't fancy it. But instead I made lancashire hotpot with lamb shank on Saturday and then on Sunday proper roast chicken with roasties and bread sauce (I love it) followed by blackberry and apple crumble and then Stilton. Talk about bedding in for winter! I also got my winter clothes down from the loft and put away all my summer stuff - most of which I didn't wear this year because it just wasn't warm enough to be wafting round in white linen skirts etc!
Know just what you mean RC, comfort food is the order of the day. OH and I were talking yesterday about switching the central heating on. I wouldn't really expect to this before mid October over here :0(
I haven't worn any summer clothes this year! Who has??
Ohhhh I do agree with you, we've been eating winter warmers for a couple of weeks now, it's so cold and miserable. It's sadly long sleeved weather now. I feel that summer is over before it even started this year...ho hum!
I know, the clothes thing was actually quite depressing. But I am looking forward to lighting a fire and snuggling up with the boys. And hopefully Spooks will be back soon as i am desperate to know what happens next. Did Adam really kill Jo? Surely not!
Hi RC - know exactly where you are coming from. Made Delia's meatloaf at the weekend with mange tout, carrots and jacket spud. Got leftovers tonight with salad, pickles and crusty bread but what I really fancy is beef stew and dumplings! OH away on course so it's meals for one. Luv, Loopy XXXX
Another one eating lamb shanks. Oh my favourite cut of meat.
Winter clobber already? I'm just cooling down and no longer wearing shorts, just thin crop trousers and thin tops.
